This original gyotaku features a Hogfish, a vibrant reef species recognized for its elongated profile and striking coloration. Ethically spearfished offshore in Southwest Florida, the fish was carefully prepared and printed by hand using traditional Japanese gyotaku techniques to preserve its natural texture and detail.                                                                                                                         

Each piece begins in the ocean, where the fish is ethically spearfished or caught, then carefully inked and printed by hand to capture its natural texture and detail.
